As the book pointed out the then Sinkiang Administrator Wang Shu Tan petitioned the Emperor for permission to mint gold coins locally because of the frequent delays in the delivery of army pay from neighboring provinces. The minting lasted only four months and only about 5,000 gold Tael were minted into the denomination of 1 mace and 2 mace coins for the purposes of military and local payments. PCGS only graded two LM-1050A, one is this coin and the other is AU 58. The AU 58 looks worst than this coin. You can check yourself. I believe less than 10 Sinkiang 2 Mace gold coin exist today.
